27 March 2018, Rome, Italy -Soba Uchi demonstration held by Japanese Soba-making masters at FAO headquarters (FAO Cafeteria). Soba is the Japanese name of buckwheat and usually refers to thin noodles made from buckwheat flour. It can grow and survive well on low-fertility or acidic soils. That is why it has been cultivated as a famine relief crop, especially in Asia.
