Djibouti, 2020. Preparing freshly caught fish
06 November 2020, Obock, Djibouti - A young farmer prepares freshly caught fish. In the country, the Assistance Program for Reducing Vulnerability in Coastal Fishing Areas (PRAREV) aims to support the populations of rural coastal areas affected by climate change to improve their resilience and reduce their vulnerability to these changes and promote co-management of marine resources. The program is financed by IFAD in the form of both a loan to the Government of Djibouti and a grant. FAO is supporting the program by implementing two sub-components: the establishment of a statistical monitoring system; and a resource assessment and the promotion of policy dialogue.
