FAO and CAF formalized their partnership with the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding, represented by Máximo Torero, FAO Chief Economist, and Sergio Díaz-Granados, CAF (Development Bank of Latin America and the Caribbean President. Also attending the meeting were FAO Director-General QU Dongyu, Mario Lubetkin, FAO Assistant Director-General and Regional Representative for Latin America and the Caribbean, Jorge Meza, FAO Representative in Brazil and Gustavo Chianca, Assistant to the FAO Representative in Brazil. This agreement aims to advance sustainable development in Latin America and the Caribbean by promoting family farming and its role in regional growth and resilience.
