Script
FAO Director-General, Dr. QU Dongyu, and his high-level delegation visited Bhutan on 3 and 4 February marking more than four decades of partnership between Bhutan and FAO.
During this two-day visit, the Director-General and the delegation engaged with key leaders including the Prime Minister, Foreign Minister, Finance Minister, and the Minister of Agriculture and Livestock.
The delegation visited various centers such as the National Centre for Organic Agriculture and the National Centre for Animal Health, highlighting the country’s advancements in sustainable agriculture, animal health, and food security.
In addition, the Royal Government of Bhutan and FAO jointly launched the One-Child, One-Egg initiative and the Bhutan AgriSustain Fund Prospectus, aimed at promoting food and nutrition security and fostering sustainable agricultural investments.
