09 December 2010, Ngozi (Kiremba village) - Women of Kibezi camp for internally displaced persons (IDP) sustained by "Sauvons les Orphelins" NGO and FAO working in the communal garden (potato patch) where improved seeds and crops are in use and underway.
FAO Project: OSRO/BDI/809/EC - Supporting vulnerable rural and peri-urban communities through an early warning surveillance system of food security in Burundi. The global objective of the project is to restore enduring food security for the most vulnerable communities in Burundi through capacity building by empowering them with food production and ensuring the continued operation of the SAP-SSA system in the provinces of Ngozi, Kayanza, Gitega, Muramvya and Mwaro.
