FAO-AMARC: Promoting food security and nutrition in South Africa
22 September 2014--- As part of the Second International Conference on Nutrition (ICN2) to be held from November 19 to 21, 2014 in Rome, Italy, the Office for Corporate Communication of the United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) is partnering with the World Association of Community Radio Broadcasters (AMARC) to facilitate the production of 36 audio pieces by producers and community radio journalists in an effort to improve public education on the topic of nutrition, food and agriculture, facilitate access to best management practices and encourage the sharing of scientific knowledge in this area.
