23 May 2012, Mou, Chad - FAO Goodwill Ambassador footballer Raul Gonzalez, together with the Minister of Agriculture of Chad Djime Adou, monitoring the condition of a maize crop while visiting field projects implemented by the United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) and funded by the European Commission during a mission to Chad as part of the Football against Hunger campaign.
FAO Project: OSRO/CHD/105/EC - Supporting food security for households weakened by the crisis between Libya and Chad. Objectives: To reduce the impact of the Libyan crisis on food security on vulnerable returnee households. The targeted households will be kept to and will maintain a viable standard of living through the distribution of agricultural inputs (vegetable kits, seeds, tools and pesticides) and livestock (goats and animal feed).
