11 February 2020, Joal Fadiout , Senegal - Senegalese women and men wait on the beach to buy fish off the fishing boats that arrive in the evening, they will sell the fish later in local fish markets. The Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations(FAO) is leading a project aiming to improve fisheries governance and management arrangements and strengthen the seafood value chain with a view to improving environmental, social and economic benefits from fisheries in three countries in West Africa (Cabo Verde, Cote d'Ivoire and Senegal).
