25 September 2024, Kudu, Lohardaga, Jharkhand State, India. Jasmati Bhagat, a farmer from Kudu, Lohardaga, Jharkhand, tends vegetable seedlings in the village poly-house nursery, alongside fellow women producer group members.

With support from the programme, the producer group accesses high-quality vegetable seeds from JOHAR agri-marts, plans the nursery cultivation together, and farms collectively to reduce costs and increase yields. Their seedlings are distributed to surrounding districts, and the vegetable produce is marketed through the Sarhul Ajeevika Farmer Producer Company, also supported by JOHAR, which provides market information and helps secure better prices – ensuring higher returns for smallholder women farmers like Jasmati.
