ITALY 2020. The UN flag waves raised at half mast
31 March 2020, Rome - The UN flag, joining the initiative of all Italian mayors, waves raised at half mast inside Rome's FAO headquarters, as a sign of solidarity for the victims of the Covid-19 pandemic. At 12.00, Italian mayors from all over the country, wearing with their tricolour sash, stood in front of their City Halls and raised the Italian flag at half mast, to observe a minute of silence, as a sign of mourning and solidarity with local communities dealing with the Covid-19 pandemic that already caused thousands of deaths in Italy.
