Mr Keith Cressman, Agricultural Officer (AGPP), monitors information on one of the computer workstations at the FAO Locust Command Centre at FAO headquarters in Rome. The data arrives directly from field locations via a GPS transmitting device and is then analyzed at headquarters by locust forecast experts.
