21 March 2017, Cotabato Province, Philippines - Marie Fe Valeroso, a farmer beneficiary shows one of the chickens she received at the Community Nursery, Municipality of Midsayap, Cotabato Province. The farmers in the community were given assistance by the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) of the United Nations in partnership with the New Zealand Embassy on new farming techniques and agricultural inputs such as vegetable seeds, rice seeds, fertilizers and chickens.**OSRO/PHI/501/NZE: Restoring agricultural livelihoods in conflict-affected communities in Cotabato Province, Region XII, Philippines. Objectives: Restoration of agricultural livelihoods of conflict and drought-affected smallholder farmers and fisherfolk; Enhancement of sustainable farming capacities and increasing agricultural productivity to ensure household and community food security; and to increase the resiliency of farming livelihood against multiple natural and man-made hazards.**
