Very old documents are stored here, some of them several decades old and some even centuries old, such as land registers that were the basis of real estate rights..The depot contains specialized rooms for disinfection and restoration of documents, as well as an advanced room for rapid freezing at -20 to -30 degrees Celsius, which is crucial for saving archival materials from floods. The RGA archives play a vital role in the preservation of national records, ensuring that legal experts, researchers and future generations have access to the precious information that documents past and shapes present.
