SOUTH AFRICA 2025. FAOSFS MDT19 (19th Multidisciplinary Team Meeting)

06 November 2025. The 19th FAOSFS MDT, scheduled for 3 to 7 November in South Africa, will focus on the theme: “Delivering Impact for Efficient and Sustainable Agrifood Systems: Learning, Partnering and Scaling Innovation in Southern Africa.”

This year’s MDT will place strong emphasis on measurable results, cross-sector partnerships, and scaling solutions that improve the efficiency and sustainability of agrifood systems. This will be an opportunity for FAOSFS to receive feedback from representatives of the RECs and national governments on the priorities and emerging issues that FAO should focus on in the next two years (2026 & 2027) in line with the theme of ARC34.
