Support and training for Syrians Under Temporary Protection (SuTP)
45 year old Mahmoud Al-Abdullah, from Aleppo came to Turkey in 2012, now works on Aslan Farm tending to grape vines, olive and pistachio trees, tomatoes and watermelons. He is a Syrian Under Temporary Protection (SuTP) beneficiary of the FAO Enhanced Resilience through Increased Economic Opportunities for Syrian Refugees and Host Communities program. He says ?FAO training for me was a very good opportunity to integrate with the local market in the agriculture sector because I had no experience or education in agriculture before. I grew up in a city so I didn't have experience in it. By doing this work I can get money for my family. I have 5 kids. I'm always concerned about my family. As a father if I have money, my kids can look to me and respect me more.? Aslan Farm, Gaziantep, Turkey. Photo Robin Hammond/NOOR. 16 July 2018.
