12 December 2024. Bangkok, Thailand. FAO Director-General QU Dongyu is seen off at the airport by the Assistant Permanent Secretary of Ministry of Agriculture and Cooperatives (MOAC) Dr Pornthep Sritanatorn (R) and Jong-Jin Kim, Assistant Director-General and FAO Regional Representative for Asia and the Pacific (L) as he leaves Thailand following his visit.

FAO Director-General QU Dongyu concludes his five-day visit to Thailand. During that time he has visited the National Hydro-informatics Data Center (NHC) located at the HII headquarters on Kasetsart University Campus and the Thai community of Ban Saladin. He also engaged in bilateral meetings with heads of delegations who have come to Thailand to attend the International Soil and Water Forum and FAO Representatives (FAORs) and senior management from across the globe at the Second Global Working Conference (GWC) in Bangkok. He also visited Thailand’s first GIAHS of Thale Noi wetland pastoral buffalo agro-ecosystem in Pattalung Province, one of the 58 GIAHS systems in Asia and the Pacific region.
