Agricultural assistance benefiting rural households in post-conflict areas of the Democtratic Republic of Congo: FAO Project OSRO/DRC/701/BEL. The overall project objective is to promote self-sufficiency among displaced persons and host families of returnees by restoring household food production capacity. With the help of donors and other partners, FAO is helping communities restart farming and fishing activities through the provision of inputs, including fishing kits, livestock/veterinary care, technical assistance and the introduction of aquaculture.
