UKRAINE 2025. Various FAO projects and areas of work across the country
21 March 2025. Zaporizka oblast, Ukraine. Maksym Tambovtsev, head of Agroinvest in Zaporizka oblast, cultivates 272 hectares of land and continues farming despite ongoing shelling and war-related losses. With support from FAO in the form of peas, wheat, sunflower, and corn seeds, his farm was able to transition to new crops. At the same time, Maksym has started experimenting with growing melons and watermelons to meet local demand and sustain rural livelihoods.
