Small-scale Irrigation and Drainage Rehabilitation - TCP/GEO/8821/D: The project works within the framework of community participation and gender-sensitive programmes in rural areas. It is comprised of four components: small-scale agriculture, intensification of sustainable plant production systems, diversification of production including small animal production as well as analysis of socio-economic constraints. Two Water User's Associations will be established involving local farming communities and existing irrigation canals will be rehabilitated while also building new ones that will lead to a reservoir. New sluice gates will also be installed to aid in better irrigation for all crops within the community.
