Background Information
A six-weeks Home Economics Training Course was held in Zemun, July-August 1957, during which home economies teachers, advisors, research and extension workers were brought up to date with latest developments in the various fields of home economics: Nutrition, child care and development, textiles and clothing, home management and extension methodology. After hearing lectures by specialists from Yugoslavia and abroad, the participants had an opportunity of discussing various problems and of making suggestions for their solution. Demonstrations were given on the practical aspects of the program. During field trips in Yugoslavia and Austria participants had an opportunity of observing programs related to Home Economics.
