RWANDA, 2025. FAO set poultry model farms to boost  food security and income for youth and women
Through the TCP/RWA/3803 project, FAO Rwanda has supported the establishment of poultry model farms and other existing poultry farms to empower young men and women with the skills, resources, and tools necessary for sustainable egg production and employment opportunities. Plans are underway to scale up these interventions to additional Districts.

As FAO Poultry model farm initiative is celebrating anniversary of 1 Year, since April, 2024, less is known about its real impact of the interventions which need to be documented, duty travel aims to document the tangible impacts of the FAO-supported poultry model farms by collecting insights from farmers, government officials, and health workers benefited from FAO’s poultry model farms and shared to key stakeholders/actors in Rwanda and beyond.
