Background Information
Baiga and his producer group received training in the Jharkhand state capital Ranchi, as well as technical and financial assistance under the JOHAR programme – helping them to move from unemployment to running a thriving fisheries pen culture enterprise. JOHAR has helped over 18 000 rural households take up fisheries as a reliable livelihood.
