Background Information
With JOHAR’s support, the group accesses high-quality, low-cost sugarcane seedlings and vegetable seeds from JOHAR-supported agri-marts, plans cultivation together, and farms collectively to reduce costs and increase yields. Their produce is marketed through the Sarhul Ajeevika Farmer Producer Company, also supported by JOHAR, which provides market information and helps secure better prices – ensuring higher returns for smallholder women farmers like Lilavati.
