25 September 2024, Kudu, Lohardaga, Jharkhand State, India. Caws in Senha, Lohardaga, Jharkhand. Goat rearing has been established as a key livelihood activity under the Jharkhand Opportunities for Harnessing Rural Growth (JOHAR) programme – an initiative of the Government of Jharkhand, supported by FAO and financed by the World Bank. Goat rearing offers smallholders, especially women, a low-input, high-return way to diversify their incomes and build resilience.
