Background Information The Custom Hiring Centre (CHC) is supported through the Jharkhand Opportunities for Harnessing Rural Growth (JOHAR) programme – implemented by the Jharkhand State Livelihood Promotion Society (JSLPS), supported by FAO and financed by the World Bank. In partnership with JFarm Services, a TAFE initiative, JOHAR connects small and marginal farmers to a statewide network of CHCs across all 24 districts of Jharkhand. Using the JFarm mobile app or toll-free helpline, farmers can easily rent tractors, implements and advanced machinery on demand, helping reduce input costs and boost productivity.
