UKRAINE 2024. Various FAO projects and areas of work across the country
31 October 2024. Mykolaivska, Ukraine. oblast Serhii Kishkovskyi's 540-hectare farm, where he cultivated sunflowers, grains, and vegetables, was occupied by Russian forces in 2022. During nine months of occupation, his equipment was destroyed or taken, and his fields were left heavily mined. FAO, along with partners, is helping to clear the land, while Serhii has also received a voucher for agricultural inputs to restart his farming operations. Despite significant challenges, he remains determined to rebuild and return to full production.
