Earlier in the day, actresses and celebrity chefs joined youth activists, influencers and innovators from around the world for a celebration of food, sport and creativity on Junior World Food Day.
The event, moderated by Italian celebrity chef Alessandro Borghese and the American actress and dancer Monique Coleman, was attended by almost 1,000 students aged 9 to 13, who were joined by 80 students from the World Food Forum School Assembly. It opened with a break dance performance, followed by an introductory speech from FAO Director-General QU Dongyu.
This year, the WFF expanded, evolved and accelerated its impact. The week-long event brought together over 6,500 participants in Rome, demonstrating the growing reach and influence of the WFF as a platform for inclusive action.
