The course “Disease surveillance and biosecurity in shrimp farming” provided key tools for the prevention and control of diseases in aquaculture, highlighting good biosecurity practices and health monitoring. Organized by FAO Peru and the National Fisheries and Aquaculture Health Authority (SANIPES) under the Smart Aquaculture Biosecurity (SAB) Project, it included sample preparation for histopathology and fresh analysis for disease detection, strengthening capacities in the shrimp sector for sustainable and smart production.
