10 January 2011, Danao - President of the Bagong Pag-asa Foundation Incorporated (BPFI) Patrick Dugan and his son technical staff member of the Assisted Natural Reforestation (ANR) project Patrick Dugan Jr., overlooking the trees that have flourished because of the project. The project utilizes a simple and cost-effective technique of locating young trees in the tall grasses, clearing a ring around them and cutting away the overgrowth to allow sunlight, water and nutrients to reach the area so the trees can grow quickly.
