25 February 2011, La Paz, Tarlac - FAO Goodwill Ambassaor Lea Salonga being briefed by the Municipal Agricultural Technician Noel Regis on organic fertilizer production being promoted by the FAO-DA-EU Food Facilty project: Increasing Rice Yields and Productivity through the Promotion of Small-Scale Irrigation and Integrated Crop Management Systems in Rainfed Areas.
FAO Project: GCP/PHI/059/EC - Increasing Rice Yield and Productivity through the Promotion of Small-Scale Irrigation and Integrated Crop Management Systems in Rainfed Areas. The project aims to support the government's efforts in attaining rice self-sufficiency by increasing rice yield and productivity through the promotion of small-scale irrigation systems (SSIS) and integrated crop management systems in rainfed rice areas of the ten (10) priority provinces identified in the RSSP of the DA.
