19 March 2015, Salinas de Garci Mendoza, Bolivia - Quinoa fields. Quinoa production rose from 27 thousands tons in 2008 to over 50thousands tons in 2013. Quinoa fields have occupied level grounds, once intended to llamas farms. This is part of Project FOOD4, a project in collaboration with the European Journalism Center (EJC), the Italian Foreign ministry, the International Cooperation and FAO, aimed to explain food security issues through articles, maps and photoreportages.
