13 September 2017, Turkey - Trainees learning to milk cows as part of agricultural training program provided by FAO. FAO in Turkey is helping job seekers training both Syrian refugees and Turkish workers with the skills that are needed, and helping to get them into highly-skilled jobs in agriculture.
Since 2017 FAO has been providing theoretical, practical and on-the-job training to Syrian refugees and unemployed Turkish citizens. Trainees learn about the different stages of the supply chain, from planting, irrigating and harvesting, to processing, packaging and ensuring hygienic practices.
