Background Information
In the Terai area of India, the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) and the World Health Organization (WHO) worked jointly to free the land of malaria in order to spur the production of food. Over 30,000 acres of 100,000 under clearance for refugee settlement are now flourishing farms.
