The overarching objective of the project is to rapidly boost production in the most affected countries in order to increase food availability and accessibility to alleviate the effects of soaring food prices on targeted poor and vulnerable groups.
Emergency Agricultural Assistance to Vulnerable Populations Affected by Climatic Risks and Food Insecurity (subset of regional project WA-08/A01, Rapid Response Fund to assist farmers affected by natural and human-made disasters) - OSRO/BKF/802/CHA. The specific objective is to grant the targeted beneficiaries an equitable access to the improved seeds varieties and other agricultural inputs in order to allow a minimal agricultural production and to reduce their dependence on food assistance.
