Thabo Mofosi, Minister for Agriculture, Food Security and Nutrition of the Kingdom of Lesotho, talks at the World Food Forum Southern Africa presentations of the Hand-in-Hand Regional Initiatives investment plans in the Austria Room. The Hand-in-Hand initiative aims at facilitating partnerships and investments to accelerate the transformation of agrifood systems in the region. In Southern Africa, the initiative targets regions with high rates of poverty and untapped potential for commercially oriented value chain development, as well as different commodities and value chains such as grains, poultry, fisheries, micro-irrigation, mechanization, among others.
