Background Information

FAO Director-General QU Dongyu delivered the keynote address at the Regional Celebration of the International Year of Camelids, held at the La Casa Grande del Pueblo. The event, attended by approximately 80 diplomats, special guests, and government officials, highlighted the cultural and economic significance of camelids in the Andean region, including the President of the Plurinational State of Bolivia, Luis Arce Catacora.
