Background Information
Funded by the IKEA Foundation, the Refugee Agricultural Value Chains for Economic Self-Reliance (RAVES) is a four-year project implemented in Kenya and Uganda. In Kenya, the groundnut value chain was identified for its potential for sustainable income generation and nutrition security for both the host and refugee communities residing in Turkana West, focusing on the Kalobeyei Refugee settlement, the Lomidat area, Nanyee, Kangalita, and Nadoto Irrigation schemes.
