The Programme for Integrated Development of Artisanal Fisheries in West Africa (IDAF), is run by the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO).With headquarters in Cotonou, it is financed by the Danish International Development Agency (DANIDA) and the government of Norway. Specialists and participants from associated countries, regularly meet to discuss ideas and strategies. Project activities may vary from improving boats and gear to providing drinking water and health care. The IDAF network covers all aspects of fisheries, including research and technology.
