Background Information
The first project aims to improve the food security of the Republic of Moldova and address the regional impact of the current socio-economic crisis caused by the military conflict in Ukraine by supporting the most vulnerable small farmers (particularly women-led farms and young people) in rural areas of Moldova with inputs and improved capacities for resilient production, while the second improves the food security and livelihood conditions of economically vulnerable smallholder farming households through agricultural livelihoods assistance. In this sense, the project activities are focused on developing the production capacities of vulnerable smallholder farming households through the provision of agriculture inputs and services, as well as protecting and preserving livestock assets of the most vulnerable smallholder farms.
