Background Information
At the end of a day's or night's fishing, small fishing boats are most often pulled ashore to dry out but in the absence of a beach, bamboo rafts or blocks of Styrofoam are commonly used. The boats are simple, often built in plywood and only protected by an enamel paint so drying so keeping them out of the water as much as possible prolongs their life.
