Syria, 2019. Beekeeping techniques
15 June 2019, Daraa Governorate, Syria - New beekeepers work with experts to learn the "tricks of the trade". This knowledge exchange helps to encourage trust and social cohesion, rebuilding communities.
Many people have lost family members, homes and livelihoods in the ongoing conflict in Syria. FAO has reached 500 people in various Syrian governorates, helping to restart livelihoods and return self-reliance. In the southwest part of the country, FAO is providing beekeeping kits to help returnees rebuild their livelihoods.
