30 December 2021, Lipari, Italy - Preparation of the Cassatelle, a Christmas sweet typical of the Aeolian Islands, in the kitchen of the Papisca diner, in Lipari, north of Sicily. Cassatella is a sweet of Greek origin made with almonds, dried figs, cooked wine, and cinnamon. It is mainly consumed during the Christmas holidays and is part of the culinary tradition of the Aeolian Islands archipelago.
