This year's World Food Day celebrations featured a new event, namely a
Youth Run for Food Race on Friday 17 October 2008. Students between the ages of 10-13 years from Italian and international secondary schools in Rome and Lazio region represented their schools. The event will take place at the Nando Martellini Stadium (popularly known as Caracalla Stadium). The fastest five boys and girls in each age group were awarded prizes at the award ceremony on Sunday 19 October 2009, together with the winners of the
10-km Competitive Run for Food Race.Â
