The 3rd Run for Food offers a 10 km competitive race and a second 5km non-competitive race dedicated to the fight against hunger. Proceeds from both races will be donated to fund TeleFood projects. In Rome, the event is held at the Terme di Caracalla and is organized by the Bancari Romani Athletic Association in partnership with FAO, the International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD), the World Food Programme (WFP), and Bioversity International. FAO Goodwill Ambassador Justine Pasek, Miss Universe 2002, Panamá, was the patron of the 2008 event, with Long Jump Olympic gold medallist Fiona May acting as a testimonial.
