Red chard cultivated at The Circle aquaponic farm
06 June 2018, Monteporzio Catone, near Rome, Italy - Red chard cultivated at The Circle aquaponic farm. Aquaponics is an agricole technique combining aquaculture (raising fish in tanks) and hydroponics (soil-less plant culture in water) in a symbiotic system. The fish waste provides an organic food source for the plants that filter the water before that it is recirculated back to the aquaculture system.
